
As a new year begins, now might be the time for you to think about making changes or upgrades to your lifestyle choices.
Many people take advantage of the new year to adopt a healthier lifestyle, and making changes to diet is one way in which people can think about nurturing a healthier self. The benefits of paleo are well known. The emphasis on unprocessed foods, low-fat meats, and abundance of green veg have been associated with lowering cholesterol, maintaining a healthy heart and weight loss. Follow these tips to integrate paleo wisdom into your life more easily.
1. Combat non-paleo craving by getting rid of all temptations from the kitchen. Plan ahead and fill your larder with paleo snacks. Frozen meals that are easy to heat for when you’re in a rush will help you avoid the temptation to get involved with junk food.
2. Stop calorie counting. Eat until your hunger is sated. As long as you stick to a paleo lifestyle, you will find that you should lose weight and feel better. If after two months the scales are staying still, consider reducing calories at that point.
3. Plan ahead for social events. Birthdays, working lunches and nights out are all perilous occasions where you may be tempted by non-paleo treats. Resist the urges by planning how you will politely decline them and choosing ahead of time what you want to bring along to eat, or to order.
